Larry Erickson

Larry Erickson, 76, of Gettysburg, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Avera Guest House in Aberdeen.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Luce Funeral Home, Gettysburg with Elder Cecil Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Larry was born May 9, 1937 at Gettysburg, SD to Albert & Myrtle (Smith) Erickson. He attended school in Gettysburg.
Larry has always been a hard worker. He worked for the Leo Siebrasse family on their farm, drove truck for Lyle Tennant, worked for the Potter County Highway Department, worked road construction and in the later years mowed many of the yards in the Gettysburg area.
Larry loved attending the local sporting events, coffee time, and visiting with all of his friends and family.
He is survived by his son: Joe (Maribel) Erickson of Pilot Point, TX; grandchildren: Chad, Shaun and Tiffany Erickson; great grandchildren: Kendrick, Kingsley, and Kamden Call and one brother, Denny (Marianne) Erickson of Ft. Myers, FL.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Allen; and his siblings: Idamae Tijerina, June Diegel, Curt Erickson, and Melvin “Sonny” Erickson.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Larry’s arrangements.

I am so sorry about the loss of Larry – he was a good man. I would run into him every now and then at the Medicene Rock and he was always cheerful & full of the latest happenings in Gettysburg.
