Loren Seidschlaw, 57, of Wecota, passed away Friday, August 24, 2007 at his home.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton.
Loren Gene Seidschlaw was born December 17, 1949 at Ipswich, South Dakota to Milton and Evangeline (Kadlec) Seidschlaw. He attended grade school in Freedom Township and graduated from Cresbard High School in 1968. Following graduation he joined his father in the farming business. They worked side by side until his father retired in 1989. Loren at that time took over the family farm operations. In 1997 he followed in his dad’s footsteps going to work for Holsing Farms; Gene & Bev Holsing, Kurt & Lori Holt, Gene & Lora Holt and Nick Holt, where he continued until his time of death. On December 18, 1999 he married Roberta Nitsch Johnson.
Loren enjoyed learning to fly, which lead to countless hours flying around the farm. He also enjoyed his family, grandchildren and friends. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed gunsmithing, riding motorcycles and being around the farm.
Left to cherish his life are his wife, Roberta of Wecota; daughters: Stefanie (Steve) Waldren of Kansas City, MO and Krista (Keith) Seurer of Sioux Falls, SD; step-children: Brandon (Kerri) Johnson of Watertown, SD and Farrah (Lonnie) Mahrt of Plankinton, SD; step-grandchildren: Morgen, Edana and Nyomi Mahrt; mother: Evangeline Seidschlaw and sister Sharon (Jack) Jones all of Faulkton and parents in-law: Don “Buck” (Leura “Lou”) Lewis.
His father, Milton Seidschlaw and first wife, Pam Christiansen Seidschlaw, preceded him in death.

We were so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Loren. May it comfort you to know that you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.
Bert your time with Loren may have been to short, but he was very happy to have share them with you and to have you in his life.
Stephanie and Krista – Your Dad and Mom were so very proud of both of you. Know that they are with you each and every day, smiling down upon you.
