April 25, 1963 ~ September 19, 2010

Marlon “Abe” Red Bull, 47, of Red Scaffold, entered the spirit world, Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:00 p.m. MDT, Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Scaffold with Father Matthew Fallgren officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. An all night wake service was held at 7:00 p.m., Friday at the church in Red Scaffold.

Marlon “Abe” Red Bull, was born in Eagle Butte, SD and raised in Red Scaffold. He grew up there riding horses, bulls and could ride anything with legs. (Ha) He belonged to a very elite group called the “Lords of Flatbush”. They were the biggest, baddest bunch of dummies around, but always had lots of fun and got into trouble, too.

The first thing Abe wanted you all to know is to not remember him in sadness, and you need to think of him and remember all the crazy, fun times he had. Abe was wild spirited, liked to laugh and tease and he lived life the way he wanted. His spirit was so crazy and full of energy that his body gave out before it’s time. Abe had lots of close family and friends and one beautiful daughter. He named her after his Grandmother Matilda, who he is with right now.

Abe loved to play basketball, baseball, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. God gave him so many talents and his two favorites were acting in movies and painting pictures. There are so many things he enjoyed doing and he knows he’ll miss telling everyone about all those things, but just think about him and you will remember.

To his Brothers and Sisters - He loves you! To Mom - He loves you and he was honored and so happy that all of you were always there for him. Abe is now at peace and can now ride the painted horses with the warriors like he was meant to. He will see each one of you some day. Remember that life is short, so live like you’ve never lived and enjoy one another and especially take time to laugh and treat each other with respect!

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Marlon’s arrangements.
