Morris Reber, 53, of St. Lawrence, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at his home.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Community Church of St. Lawrence, with Pastor Jim Hofman officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, at Reck Funeral Home in Miller.
Morris was born on November 14, 1970, to Nilo and Rosemary (Rustemeyer) Reber in Brookings, SD. He cherished his high school years, where he developed a passion for wrestling, graduating from Highmore High School. Following his graduation from Mitchell Tech as a linesman, Morris devoted 29 years to Dakota Energy. He later worked for Lee Cain and John Fanning. Morris was blessed with two children: Zach and Morgan.
On September 19, 2019, Morris married Tyshay, in Lake Andes. Morris welcomed his new stepdaughter, Alexsis, and they all made their home in St. Lawrence.
Morris found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved ice fishing, fishing, smoking meat, driving around to see the country, hunting, cutting wood, attending rodeos, and making annual trips to races in Wagner. Above all, he treasured spending time with his family.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Tyshay Reber of St. Lawrence; his son, Zach Reber of Selby; his daughter, Morgan Reber of Gregory; stepdaughter, Alexsis Dunham of St. Lawrence; two grandchildren, Ryder and Ridge; mother, Rosemary (Bill) Lampman of Pickstown; sister, Monica (Luke) Epperson of Rapid City; nephews: Gus, Bryson, and Skylar; parents-in-law, Bridget and Eric Russell of Long Beach, CA; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nilo Reber.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Morris' arrangements.

All my Sympathy to Morris' Family. We made friends when he moved to Highmore, wrestled/football on the same teams, then opposing teams when I moved away. Always met with grins on our faces, loved that guy! He will be missed by all who knew him. Hoping the memories sustain you. Take Care, DK
I remember many fun-filled nights at the Recess Bar in St Lawrence. He was always happy and so much fun to be around. He will be missed by all who knew him. RIP Mo❤️
I will always have my memories with Morris for the 27 years we were together and made 2 beautiful children together.
Morris lived his life the way he chose.

I will always remember the good times had at the Recess. Usually led by a joke by Mo and lots of laughs. He always made people laugh. His sense of humor was something I will never forget and am glad I was able to get to know. He will be missed by all who knew him. All my sympathies to his family.
