Patricia Ann Ranes Turner, age 86, of St. Louis Park, formerly Green Valley, AZ and Faulkton, SD, passed away Jan. 6, 2010.
Memorial Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton. Burial followed in the Faulkton Cemetery.
Patricia Ann Haag was born April 16, 1923 to Oscar and Vera (Bunce) Haag in Redfield. She lived in Faulkton with her family and graduated from Faulkton High School in 1941. She went on to receive her college education from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion where she was active in the Alpha Phi Sorority and continued to be so throughout her life.
Following college she spent several years in California. Here she met her first husband William Henry Ranes. To this union one daughter was born. William served in the Korean War and was MIA and confirmed dead in 1953.
In 1954 she moved with her daughter Meg to Huron, South Dakota and resided there until 1970 at which time she moved to Saint Louis Park, MN.
In 1978 she married B. Craig Turner and together they moved to Green Valley, AZ where she spent the next 25+ years of her life. There she was active in the American Business Women’s Association.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Meg (Tim) Dornfeld; her stepchildren, Ginna and Jeff Turner, and grandchildren, Linda Radtke, Eddie Miller, Jacob Miller, Tom Miller, and Janston Turner.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Henry Ranes and B. Craig Turner.
