Patricia Collier

Patricia L. Collier, 62, of Eagle Butte, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Hospice House, Rapid City.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. MST, Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte, with burial at the Congregational Cemetery, Cherry Creek. A wake service was held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at the church, with a procession from the 4-mile corner east of town at 5:00 p.m.

Patricia Lee Brings Plenty was born March 3, 1957 in Cherry Creek, SD to Eunice Eagle Horse and LeRoy Brings Plenty. She began her schooling at Cherry Creek Day School. She then lived in the Eagle Butte dormitory where she attended Cheyenne Eagle Butte High School. She later attended McLaughlin High School until her junior year.

In 1973 she met Bobby Sands and from this union she had her oldest daughter, Clevia Hale. She then moved to Pine Ridge where she worked as the director of the cap house. She later met Cleveland Buckman, Sr. From this union she had Cleveland Buckman Jr., and Clinton Buckman. She moved back to Cherry Creek where she met Jake Collier and in 1982, she had her twins, Bethany and Valdon Collier. In 1989 she met Michael Condon Sr. and she had Miles and Lakota Condon. She had been with Michael for many years up until his passing. She enjoyed many things especially cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her children: Cleveland Jr. and Clinton Buckman, Valdon and Bethany Collier, Miles and Lakota Condon; sisters: Lisa Carter, Vivian (Dupris) Johnson, Della Creek, and Delia Francios; brothers: Clayton Creek and Cletus Creek; several other siblings from Pine Ridge; grandchildren: Farrah Marrowbone, Amy and Leon LaBlanc, Delbert Jr., Delaney, Dale and Diamond Stands, Alowan and Brayven Mitchell, Makayla Buckman, Valdon Collier Jr., Brendon Collier, Channing Buckman, O’lan Condon, Caleb II and Gisele Vandervier, Sativa Condon, Baptiste Red Dog, Jimmy Collier, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Eunice Eagle Horse (Creek) and LeRoy Brings Plenty; sister, Delilah Metcalf; brothers: Carl Dupris and Dale Hale; daughter, Clevia Stands; significant other, Michael Condon Sr.; and several other relatives.
