Pauline was born at the Old Cheyenne Agency on December 8, 1932 to Sidney & Kate (Livermont) LeBeau. She grew up along the Moreau River where she attended the local grade school. Her family moved to Timber Lake where she attended Timber Lake High School and graduated in 1951. After graduation she attended Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS.
On January 7, 1955, Pauline had found the love of her life and life long friend, Bud Ducheneaux. The two were married for 52 years. Their love created six great children Allen, Wade, Henry, Marsha, Carol and Rita "Pete".
Pauline started her career as a clerk at the tribal office, which emerged into a position at the Old Agency's IHS. She then began working for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Rehab Program in Eagle Butte. After 33 years as an Administrative Assistant at the IHS in Eagle Butte, Pauline hesitantly retired in 2002, stating that she would miss the people who touched her life.
Pauline loved spending time with her family, never forgetting any special occasion. She enjoyed being outside, doing embroidery work, keeping her home immaculate and making unforgettable meals and desserts (never needing a recipe) with Bud. She enjoyed traveling to many different places, attending pow-wows, and has always found joy and luck at the casino.
Pauline was a very loving, caring, strong, energetic and compassionate person who always put her family and friends first. She was a memorable wife, mom, and grandma who impacted many lives. She will be greatly missed.
Casket bearers will be all grandsons, Hadden Ducheneaux, Anthony Ducheneaux, John Ducheneaux, Cory Vrooman, Brandon Morgan, and Ryan Vrooman.
Honorary Pall Bearers are Karen Nitzschke, Marie LeBeau, Ramona Simon, Dr. Upell, Terry & Joyce Pourier, Essie Mae Stevens, Regina Ducheneaux, Eleanor Miner, Linda Jacobsen, Susie Payne, Susan Smart, Marlene Ducheneaux, Janice Eberhard, and all of her many friends & relatives.

We want to send our deepest sympathies for the loss of your loved one. Time passes to quickly, it seems like yesterday when Aunt Kate & Uncle Sidney would come to visit us. We always had so many laughs. These will be the memories of your wife, mother & sister that will help you thro the difficult times.
Pauline was a classmate. I will remember always the quiet, dignified gal she was.
