Randy High Horse

Randy High Horse, 52, of Eagle Butte, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home in Eagle Butte.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., MDT, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the LDS Mormon Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in the Eagle Butte Cemetery. A wake service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Vet Center, Eagle Butte, with a procession from the 4-Mile at 4:00 p.m.
Randy was born on November 3, 1972, to Sherry Montell and Richard Bald Eagle in Gordon, NE. He grew up in Wanblee, SD and attended Crazy Horse School.
Randy was the creator of the Red Brotherhood. He helped many of his brothers that he was locked up with, and also after he got out. He had a big heart and always helped everyone. Randy was a boxer.
Randy is survived by his mother, Sherry Martell; stepdad, John Moran; children: Randy Jr., Tasha, Stacey, and Terri Lee; father, Richard Bald Eagle Bear; unci, Cecelia Bald Eagle Bear; aunties: Lovencia Blue Arm, Madeline “Maggie” Thunder Hawk, Karen Thunder Hawk; uncles: Geno Lyle Sr., Thomas Thunder Hawk; maternal aunties: Vina High Horse, Elsie High Horse, Claudia High Horse, Reva High Horse, Cheryl Whistler, Florine Chipps; maternal uncles: Bryant High Horse Jr., Julian High Horse, Merle Whistler; brothers: Sheldon High Horse, Donovan Red Cloud, Tony Rios; and sister Chastity Bear Killer.
He is preceded in death by his sisters: Dasia Bald Eagle Bear, Rochelle Bald Eagle Bear, Jolene Little Hawk; cousins: Lyle Thunder Hawk Jr., Morning Star Standing Bear, Tony High Horse, Cody High Horse; aunties: Sophie High Horse, Arlene Swift, Beatrice High Horse; uncles: Taylor and Lyle Bald Eagle Bear, Leroy High Horse, John Paul High Horse; grandfathers: Paul and Frederick Bald Eagle Bear, Bryant High Horse Sr., Luther and Alfred High Horse; grandmothers: Minnie high Horse, Cecelia High Horse, Lorene Bald Eagle Bear, Evangaline Long Soldier; great grandfathers: Paul Bald Eagle Bear, Pete Bald Eagle Bear, Paul High Horse; great grandmothers: Mary Bald Eagle Bear and Anna High Horse.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Randy’s arrangements.




Rest in peace nephew. I wish I could've been able to make it to your farewell. Say hello to my mom and everyone you is waiting for you on the other side. Have a beautiful journey. Miss you. Love you.
Have a safe journey brother. You'll be missed greatly but you will not be forgotten. I'll miss your funny jokes and always making us laugh. We will meet again. You were always a good and dear friend to everyone. May you watch over us up there.
