Raymond White Eagle, Jr., 62, of LaPlant, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at Cheyenne River Health Center, Eagle Butte.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. CDT, Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Church of God, LaPlant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, LaPlant. A wake service will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the church with a procession from the hill east of LaPlant at 4:00 p.m.
Raymond was born on May 17, 1962, to Raymond White Eagle Sr. and Pearl White Eagle. He made his home in LaPlant with his wife, Orally Bowker White Eagle. Raymond loved playing horseshoes and basketball and taking walks. He enjoyed watching Vikings football games. He loved attending the Baptist church. One of his favorite things to do was visit his brothers, in-laws, and friends.
He is survived by his children: Delise, Warren, and Nicholas; two great grandchildren: Ronyn and baby Manny; sisters: Robyn Logg and Patricia Bowker; and brother, Jake White Eagle III.
Raymond is preceded in death by his wife, Orally (Bowker) White Eagle; parents, Raymond White Eagle Sr. and Pearl (Different Horse) White Eagle; brother, Veral White Eagle; and grandparents; and siblings: Dawn White Eagle, Vearl White Eagle, and Harley White Eagle.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Raymond’s arrangements.
