Ronald D. Williams, 80, of Highmore and formerly of St. Lawrence, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Highmore Health, with family at his side.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church, Miller, with Pastor Robert Brooks officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, at a later date. 

Ron, or Ronnie, as he was known by friends and family, was born in Miller, SD, on August 7, 1943, to Percy and Lily (Marshall) Williams.  He lived around the St. Lawrence and Miller area all of his life and he married Marilyn Davis on June 22, 1968.  They lived in St. Lawrence during their marriage with their three sons and he could be seen cruising around town on his tractor or delivering fuel to farms in the area for Community Oil of Miller.  In his free time, he loved taking care of his cows as well as working on his tractors and other farm equipment.   

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three sons: Corey, Eric (Connie), and Dustin (Jannet); one grandson, Joshua; one brother, Lyle (Pam); one sister, Nancy; and one niece, Julie Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Lily, and his sister, Carol.

Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Ronnie’s arrangements.
