Rowena Charging Cloud

Rowena Raye Charging Cloud, stillborn daughter of Trecyn Charging Cloud and Kynianna Hayes, of Cherry Creek, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Monument Health, Rapid City. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. MDT, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Cherry Creek Gym, Cherry Creek. Burial will follow at the ATT Cemetery, located north of the Dupris family homestead. There will be a procession at 10:00 a.m., from the hill east of Cherry Creek.

Rowena was delivered on October 9, 2024, at 10:01 p.m., weighing 5 lbs., 1.5 oz and measured 18” long. She was loved by so many in the short time they had her. 

Those left to cherish Rowena are her parents: Trecyn Charging Cloud and Kynianna Hayes; brother, Francis Charging Cloud; grandparents: Megan Dupris, Shilo Charging Cloud, Melissa Iron Shell, Rodney Hayes, Shawna Franco, Ira, Pacer, Gideon, Natalie, Nikki and LaCreasha Hayes, Yvette Dupris, Derek (Lady Lee) Yellow Owl Sr., Dewey Marrow Bone, Nicole, Eagle Chasing, and Michelle, Melanie, and Marissa Benoist; great grandparents: Ophelia Dupris, Edna Tyndall, Alta German, Iris and Kathleen Eagle Chasing, Marlon Yellow Owl, Darla, Danny, LaVay, Sharon, Vanessa, and Frenchie Hayes, and Everett Condon; great-great grandparents: Russell Benoist, Arlene Demery, Marlene Runs After, and Sylvester Waloke; uncles: SJ Charging Cloud, Kyson Crow Ghost, and Wakiyan Running Hawk; aunties: Jaysten White Horse, Siah, Angel, and Myleigh Charging Cloud, Annatia and Aneisha Hayes, Halo Waloke, Jai’enna Big Eagle and Nevyn Hubbard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Willard Demery; great grandfather, Billy Dupris and Francis Charging Cloud; great-great grandparents:  Gerald Condon, Roland Roach Sr., Clifford Demery, Franklin Bear Looks Running, Pauline Eagle Chasing, and Linda Marrow Bone; and auntie, Rockilynn Hayes.
