Ruby Henry, 95, of Faulkton, passed away Wednesday February 1, 2012 at the Faulkton Area Medical Center.

Private family services will be held.

Ruby Lela Snodgrass was born December 11, 1916 to Mack and Amelia (Segrest) Snodgrass in Roby, Fisher County, Texas.

On November 16, 1935 Ruby married Bun Olen Henry in Roby, TX at the Church of Christ. In 1948 they purchased a farm south of Seneca and moved there in 1949. Ruby worked in various offices in the Faulk County Court House and ASCS office. She also was the Post Mistress for the Seneca Post Office for 24 years, retiring in 1982. Following retirement Ruby and Bun lived in Sioux Falls, Aberdeen and then in 1996 they moved to Faulkton where Ruby remained until the time of her death.

Ruby loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching the Dallas Cowboys and keeping abreast of politics. She was an avid reader and after her retirement, while living in Aberdeen, enjoyed doing volunteer work at Tom Daschle's office.

She is survived by her son Harold Henry of Gatesville, TX; two grandchildren: Dallas (Lorie) Henry of Highmore and Debbie Berner of Watertown; and her great grandchildren: Morgan Berner and Lucas and Denver Henry.

Her husband Bun on December 5, 2001; three brothers; and five sisters preceded her in death.

Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Ruby’s arrangements.
