Susan Peterman, 74, of Miller, SD, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller, surrounded by family.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Sunbeam Cemetery in rural St. Lawrence, SD. A luncheon and Celebration of Life presentation will be held at the St. Lawrence Fire Hall immediately following the cemetery service. All are welcome.
Susan was born on April 19, 1950, in Redfield, South Dakota to Vyonne (Friese) and Robert Trowbridge. She spent her childhood in Redfield, SD, where she graduated in 1968. After high school, she spent time traveling before returning to South Dakota. After returning, she met Charles Peterman, and they were united in marriage on August 28, 1975, in Redfield, SD.
Susan’s greatest joy in life was watching her children and grandchildren in their many activities. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter.
Susan is survived by her husband, Charles of almost 50 years; three children: Kelly, Angie (Jeff) Danburg, and John (Chris); five grandchildren: Nicholas, Kayla, Brody, Will, and Coby; two sisters: Marny and Diana; step-sister: Ellie; plus, many relatives and friends who were a part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vyonne; brother, Robert (Bobby); and two brothers-in-law, Willie & Wally.
Reck’s Funeral Home in Miller, SD has been entrusted with Susan’s arrangements.




Marny, Diane, and Families, I just saw where your beautiful sister just passed away, I am so sorry. My sympathy goes out to each of you, and as God wraps His arms around each of you, remember all the good times, the laughs, and great memories. So sad to hear about Susan’s passing. She was a good roommate to my mother. I loved her sense of humor and tell it like it is attitude. Blessings to Charles and the family during this difficult time and prayers for comfort and healing in the days ahead.❤️
