Terrie Lea Mehlhaff, daughter of Herman and Vivian (Anderson) Roth, was born on January 21, 1948 in Rapid City, S.D. She attended elementary school in Rapid City and then moved to the Adjustment Training Center in Redfield on January 3, 1964. On October 9, 1973 Terrie moved to Aberdeen, where she held various jobs. Terrie was united in marriage to Lester Mehlhaff on December 6, 1989, in Aberdeen, SD. One of her proudest achievements was participating and placing in the Special Olympics in the swimming event, as she loved to swim!
She moved to the Faulkton Senior Living Center on October 25, 2006, the place she called home. There, everyone was considered a friend to Terrie. She loved to greet all family and friends as they came to see their loved ones. She did all she could to make the new residents feel at home. Terrie was always looking out for everyone’s best interests. She had a special place in her heart for all of the daycare kids. Their visits to see the residents filled her heart with so much joy. Terrie had the biggest smile that would light up a room and indeed had the kindest heart!! She loved playing cards, bingo, putting together puzzles, coloring, painting, and crocheting blankets. The newest thing she loved doing is Facetiming. She found a great sense of peace in her time spent outdoors. Her faith was strong, and she never hesitated to pray for anyone in need. Terrie was forever grateful for her weekend stroll “up” the street to attend church services.

Terri was always present when I sang at the Senior Living or The Meadows. She always requested her favorite hymn "ON the Wings of a Dove." I will miss her smiling face and kind words.
Every time I walked through the door to visit I could count on that wonderful smile to great me. And yes she has found her "Wings of a dove" that she loved so much.
Terry was a special lady, her smile could light up a room and she was a very caring person. She will be missed 😢
Terrie was such a good friend to my brother Craig when he lived in the nursing home. She was so helpful and kind to him. I can picture them coloring pictures together again and having a grand time together.
I worked at the nursing home in Faulkton and took a liking to this beautiful women. I would dye her hair for her and she would make comments about dying her hair the same as mine (which included pink, blue, and purple) we had so much fun. I will always remember her she left a mark on my heart FOREVER!
In loving memory of Terrie L. Mehlhaff,
Peace, Prayers and Blessings. Terrie's beautiful personality, smile and loving spirit were a Blessing to our family. Forever in our Hearts with Eternal Love.
Sorry for your loss. Senior Living won’t be the same without her. I will miss her. Love Tami
