Tim Misterek, 64, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Harrold Auditorium, Harrold, with Rev. David Strable, officiating. Burial will follow at the Medicine Hill Cemetery, Harrold. A visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022, at Luze Funeral Home, Highmore.
Tim Misterek was born on May 31, 1957, to John H. and Leona K. (Miller) Misterek. He was so onery; he came into this world in the elevator on the way up to the delivery room. He grew up on the family farm and he graduated from Harrold High School. He was active in 4-H and loved playing football.
He lived his life always working hard on the farm while also taking care of his parents and his brother, Tom.
Tim was always known for his great sense of humor, his infectious smile and was loved by everyone. The show “The Bachelor” would have had nothing on Timothy, the lifetime bachelor of all bachelors.
Tim loved to be around his family, friends and neighbors. All the kiddos loved him like a father, uncle and grandfather and they will never forget those red-whiskered rubs. If you ever met Tim, you would never forget him and the constant smile he had. He loved hunting and fishing and teasing all his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his oldest brother, Richard (Olga) Misterek of Blunt, SD; his only sister, Kathi (Dennis) Owens of Fairfield Bay, AR; his nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews, that loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Chuck, Joe, John, and Tom Misterek.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Tim’s arrangements.

Prayers go out to all of Tim’s family. So sorry about Tim, he is too young to be gone. Praying you can all remember good times with Tim. May God bless you all & support you as you work through this loss. 🙏 ❤️
We will keep Tim and his family and friends in our prayers.. Tim will be missed by many. Gone too soon.
Every fall for the last decade or two I'd come up with the Denk group bring two of my sons, my son-in-law and a number of friends. Tim was great! A true character of the first order. He was always a lot of fun to be around and ran a great hunt. I could go on forever but let it be said he willbe truely missed and I'm so sorry to see him go.

Remember many laughs with my cousin Tim. Nothing but good memories of him.
Heat felt sympathy to Dick and Kathy. My prayers are with you.
Sad to hear of Tim's passing. I happened upon Tim 10 years ago in Harold, he was a friend ever since. His good nature and generosity always made for fun & laughs. A simple drive around Wagon Rut could become an adventure. My prayers to the Misterek family. God Bless Timmy Boy!
Tim always called me Tommy. He was a good one to kid around and had a warm smile.
I got older, we spent a little more time together, and he’d still call me Tommy and it was easy to call call him Timmy.
Rest In Peace, Timmy.
I didn’t know Tim well, but I know this…he provided a warm shelter, and comfortable beds for road weary brothers and sisters. He was kind, generous and a good man. Rest In Peace brother, we will meet again.
Timmy, you will be missed by your pheasant hunting group. You always came through on your promises to secure our limits. You were a great host and we enjoyed your humor. I know it was a business, but you always took time to learn a little about all your guest. It was great to know you, you will be missed by all of us. May your soul rest in peace, JIMMY
We met Timmy ( I called him that ) while having a beer at the bar in Blunt one day, and he was a friend ever since. He was always so nice, always smiling, always friendly. He's one of those local regular guys that I know a lot of people are going to miss. Sure grateful to have known him. I'll miss ya Timmy
