Willie Biros

Willie Deana McLane Biros, 33, of San Diego, CA and formerly of Eagle Butte, SD, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. MDT, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte, with Fr. Les Campbell and Rev. Norman Blue Coat officiating. Burial followed at the Morgan Family Cemetery, Eagle Butte. A procession formed at the four-mile junction east of Eagle Butte, at 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2011 with all night wake services at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Wille Deana McLane Biros was born on November 16, 1977 in Rapid City, SD to William and Ramona (Jewett) McLane. Willie spent her early years and attended school in Rapid City until the 3rd grade.
The family moved to White Horse, SD where she attended the White Horse Day School to the eighth grade. In November 1994 the family moved to Eagle Butte. Willie graduated high school in the spring of 1996. After graduation she went to Salem, Oregon to live with her cousin Jeanette and family for a year. She then returned to Eagle Butte.
Willie enlisted in the United States Navy in 2001. She graduated from Boot Camp at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL on June 29, 2001. She was a third generation sailor in the McLane family. She took her ABF training in Pensacola, Florida. Willie served on the U.S.S. John C. Stennis and the U.S.S. Belleauwood touring such places as Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Yemen, and the Arabian Sea.
On January 1, 2003 Willie married Brad Biros, who was also in the Navy, they divorced in 2005. Willie lived in San Diego, CA until February 2008. She came back to Eagle Butte and spent two years with her family. While at home she earned a business degree from OLC; she graduated in May of 2010.
Willie’s hobbies included writing poetry, horseback riding, fishing, helping local ranchers during branding season, and spending time with family and friends. Willie went back to San Diego after her graduation from OLC, where she spent the remainder of her life.
Willie is survived by her mother: Ramona McLane; five brothers: Richard Benoist, Jr., Sam Benoist, Arthur McLane, Robert McLane, and David McLane all of Eagle Butte; four sisters: Marie Benoist of Waco, TX, Mashawn Benoist of Bismarck, ND, Shireen Weidmer of Timber Lake, SD and Tracie Colhoff of Natrona Heights, PA.
She was preceded in death by her father William McLane; her paternal grandparents: Bud McLane and Gertrude Gules; maternal grandparents: Stanley Jewett and Harold and Annabell Morgan.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Willie's arrangements.




I miss you Deana. Thank you for your kindness and words of encouragement. Thanks for playing me cards and wanting to be my friend. Our friendship was cut short by your death and the world lost a kind person. We spoke saturday and little did I know it would be our last conversation. I still have your last e-mail . Willie, I knew her as Deana, I saw her at a office in downtwon San Diego. On the 15th of April.
She always seemed so full of Life
I hurt so much that we all have lost a great an wonderful person from are lives.
I pray that God Bless Her, and Family…And I put Her and you her Family, Under the Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ that he heal us and show us His Grace and Mercy in Our Lives. And that we all may she our Friend again.
I send my deepest and dearest condolences to her family. Willie and I were both friends as well as brother and sister from the graduating class of 2007 at VVSD. I will always remenber her for the kind, gentle and loving heart that she had for anyone in need. I will miss you dearly but will always rememeber the great and positive time we shared while we had them.

I always called her my wia. We served together in v-4 on the stennis. She was one of my very good freinds and Im verysad we lost touch and even more sad to hear of this. My sympathys and condolences go out to the family and i will miss you very much my friend
