Ronni High Bear

Ronni Ann High Bear, 26, of Eagle Butte passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at I.H.S. Hospital, Eagle Butte.

Funeral services was held at 10:00 a.m., MDT, Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Old Agency Building, Eagle Butte, with Sister Addie Morris presiding. Burial followed in the Eagle Butte Cemetery. A wake service was held at 7:00 p.m., MDT, Sunday, June 25, 2017 the hall, with a procession from the 4-mile at 4:00 p.m.

Ronni Ann “Nonni” was born February 6, 1991 in Pierre, SD, to Lori (Howe) and Delvin High Bear Sr. She was the second to the oldest out of 8 children. Her siblings are Andrea Nicole Circle

Bear, Megan Elizabeth High Bear (deceased), Bailey Rae High Bear, Delmarie High Bear, Delvin “DJ” Ray High Bear Jr., Gabriel Francis High Bear and Maya Grace High Bear all of Eagle Butte, SD. She has one niece, Maleyah Justice Circle Bear, and two nephews, John Curtis Ray High Bear and Alrick Leon Circle Bear Jr., all of Eagle Butte, SD. Ronni had one son whom she adored dearly, Grant Vernon Martin III, born on August 8, 2014. 

Ronni grew up and attended school in Pierre, SD. She completed her education in Eagle Butte, SD, and wanted to further her education in cosmetology to become a beautician, as that was one of her many dreams. She was a very beautiful young woman, and anyone who knew her knew she loved hair and make-up. Also, that she loved randomly singing and dancing. Ronni enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her son.

Ronni would rather stay home watching movies than go out anytime. She was the type to speak her mind and had lifelong friendships with childhood friends. She loved all her cousins just like they were her siblings. Ronni was a true friend, telling you how it is. She was always there when needed and she cherished all her friendships, especially with all her siblings and cousins. She enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her cousin, Sydney Lynn. She enjoyed taking pictures, especially with her son, and spending time socializing on the social network sites. Ronni was always happy and wore her beautiful smile; staying positive regardless of the situation. She loved sunsets and enjoyed going to the river to swim.

Ronni Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Megan; paternal grandfather, Ronald High Bear; maternal grandparents, Reynold and Sharon Howe; uncles, Darren Howe and Craig Carson; and nephew, Eli Cook.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Ronni’s arrangements.
