Kilee Kay Thornton

Kilee K. Thornton, 34, of Denver, CO, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Denver.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. MDT, Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Red Scaffold Gym. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Red Scaffold. Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the gym with a procession 2 miles east of Red Scaffold at 4:00 p.m.

Kilee Kaye Thornton was born June 6, 1991, in Pierre, SD to Seth Bissonette and Denita Thornton. She grew up in Red Scaffold and Rapid City where she resided until she moved to Denver, CO where she attended high school. Her passion was being a dancer. During Kilee’s free time, she enjoyed putting on makeup, jamming out, cruising around the city, spending time with her family, camping and fishing.

Kilee was known for being a beautiful soul. She loved to joke around, laugh, and just be herself. She loved her kids and family so much.

Kilee will be missed by her parents: Seth Bissonette and Denita Thornton; her children: Diana Gonzalez Thornton, Nathaniel and Hailey Thornton, and David Leon Olden Jr., all of Denver, CO; sisters: Kalcee, Shawna, and Maddie Thornton, and Olivia Perez; brothers: Wylie Thornton, and Austin and Dayne Bissonette; cousins she thought of as brothers and sisters: Isaiah Cochran, Kristian Val Hollow Horn, American Gallegos, Diego, Dominick, Tyson and Tyler Thornton; close friend, David Leon Olden; aunties: Delena Thornton, Lena and Laree Sitting Crow, and Krista Bearstops; uncles: Justin Troy, Herbert Sitting Crow, JD Bear Stops, Marino Waloke, and Brad Lightfoot; grandparents: Delores Duran, DeVina Long Break, Marline and Geridean Bear Stops, Vernell Sitting Crow, James and Pete Jr Bearstops.

Greeting her in the spirit world are her grandparents: Romanus Bearstops, Catherine and Molly Circle Bear, Lena, Walter, and John Thornton, and Gloria Sitting Crow, Alvina Circle Bear, and Oris Bear Stops; adopted grandfather, Darwin Cook; and her aunties and cousins: Jennifer, CherRon, and Elaina Brings White, and Falon Bear Stops.
