Preston Reid Aesoph, 16, of Highmore and Orient, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Wessington from a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Hyde County Memorial Auditorium in Highmore, with Father John Short as celebrant.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2026, followed by a 7:00 p.m. prayer service and sharing of memories, all at the Auditorium.

Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Preston’s arrangements.

  5. Preston was a goof ball teenager among the many that made our home one of theirs. He was so kind and had the best smile. I’m so sorry that his life was taken so soon. I’m thankful to him for sharing his friendship and humor with so many. He will be deeply missed!

  11. Two things that always stood out to me about Preston was his love for his mother and his sisters. He was such a wonderful young man and the absolute BEST big brother. My heart hurts for all who loved and knew Preston. 🫂
