In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a memorial in Preston’s honor.

Preston came into the world on August 17, 2009. He was surrounded by love his entire life and loved his family more than anything. His mom, Paige; his dad, Andrew, and family: Leah, Layne, Carley, Claire, and Bryant; and stepdad, Dakota Fiene; his three beautiful sisters: Lennon, Memphis, and Cove, all adored him.

All his cousins thought the world of him and wanted to be around him, no matter what they were doing. His cousins loved doing anything he was doing on the farm. Whether they were riding in the grain cart or semi-truck, fixing fences, working cattle, or simply spending time together, as long as it was with Preston, they were happy.  Playing with trucks on the sand pile, throwing water balloons, riding 4-wheelers, chasing through the house, wrestling around, and flying kites to the stratosphere were just some of the things he did with his cousins.

Preston loved everything that involved water – throwing his sisters and cousins off the boat, jet skiing with friends, and fishing in Akaska with his dad. Playing pranks on his sisters and making TikTok videos were some of the many ways of bringing laughter to everyone. Preston’s favorite meal was chicken curry. His love for all animals was infectious!

His love for farming, numerous shop projects, and mowing jobs for the community showed his strong work ethic. With money he earned, he bought his own jet ski, a prized possession of his, and a car.  You could always count on Preston to bring humor to any situation. He was rooted in his faith, and it was the driving force behind his decisions.

When he wasn’t outside hunting or on the farm, Preston loved golfing and was his mom’s favorite golf partner. Being on the wrestling mat, working out, watching his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers, and following the Yankees baseball were a few of his favorites! He attended three football camps this summer and was looking forward to going out for football again this year. Going to the Lodge and cooking with his grandma in the kitchen was one of his favorite ways to spend time with family.

He attended Highmore High School, where he was on the Merit Honor Roll and participated in FBLA and FFA. He was talented at drawing pencil sketches. He and his many friends loved hanging out at the shop, and he was known for his spontaneity, humor, and zest for life. Wherever Preston went, he brought smiles and happiness to all. He never had a sharp word for anyone, always finding the best in everyone with his positive words and outlook!

Preston’s infectious smile, giggle, and vibrant personality radiated to all, and everyone took notice! And in Preston’s own words, his dimples either “got him in trouble or out of trouble!”

He is survived by his mom, Paige Solberg; his dad, Andrew Aesoph and family: Leah, Layne, Carley, Claire, and Bryant; stepdad, Dakota Fiene; his siblings: Lennon, Memphis, and Cove Fiene; his grandparents, Mike and Amy Solberg; and Mike and Staci Aesoph; his aunts and uncles: Shan Solberg and his son, Jaxson; Sierra (Cole) Oakley and their three children, Grey, Wilder, and Moxon; Hunter Solberg; Savannah Solberg; Joe (Siara) Aesoph and their three children, Liam, Lenny, and Knox; Nathan (Bailey) Aesoph and their three children, Everett, Cahill, and Norra; Oliver (Lexi) Aesoph and their two children, Hal and Acre; and great grandma, Deanna Gilmore.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Warren and Katherine Solberg; and Joe and Judy Thiel; great grandma, Berneice Aesoph; and great grandpa, Richard Gilmore.

Though he will be deeply missed, we know Preston is in the arms of Jesus. Preston’s legacy of faith, family, and friendship will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know and love him.

Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Preston’s arrangements.

  20. To Paige and the whole family,
I am just devastated for all of you. These feelings your going thru Paige are a mothers worst nightmare come true. I can only hope that you will lean on your family and friends for the support you will need while you go through this process of grieving. I am reciting the rosary every chance I get as I know your mom, Amy, does the rosary with my Caleb in mind. This is a journey that no parent should ever have to go thru, but being surrounded by the strength and love of everyone who loves you and loves Preston, you will become strong again. You will laugh again. You will find joy again. This is a club that none of us ever wanted to belong to, but now that we are, we must stick together and remember our amazing children for the amazing people they will always be in our thoughts and memories forever. Hugs and prayers for strength and guidance at this extremely difficult time for all of you. May God place his hand on all of you and bring peace to you in the midst of your pain. Love to you all.

    Amy
