Acey Brown

Acey Thomas Brown, 50, of Sioux Falls, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. MDT, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, LaPlant.

Acey was born to Ellsworth (Dode) and Lillian Brown on March 5, 1976, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, SD.

He loved spending time with friends and family, taking walks, listening to music, and enjoying a good movie. He also loved keeping in touch with everyone on Facebook.

He moved to Sioux Falls staying at the Bishop Dudley House, until finding his home. He enjoyed buying different things and making it his own until his passing.

He is survived by his siblings, Virginia Howe, Benny Brown, and Fedelia Brown.

Acey is preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Lillian Brown; brother, Ellsworth “Butch” Brown; sister, Rae Jean Carter; and nephews, Kyle and Koy Curley.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Acey’s arrangements.
