Barbara Bouren, 74, of Ree Heights, SD, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society of Miller.
Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Miller with Father Chester Murtha, celebrant. Burial followed at Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights. Visitation was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3 at Reck Funeral Home, Miller.
Barbara Ann Sisk was born August 28, 1941 to Carl and Josephine (Koc) Sisk in Miller, SD; the only girl in a house of five boys. She attended and graduated from Miller High School.
Barb married Eldon Bouren on September 18, 1965 and they moved to Ree Heights. She worked at different jobs including; Terrace Park Creamery, Ree Heights Town Clerk, U.S. Postal Clerk and an Avon consultant. But no job was more important to her than taking care of her children. She enjoyed doing plastic canvas projects, word puzzles, sewing and baking. Barb was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and St. Ann’s Altar Society.
Those left to cherish Barb’s life are her daughters: Susan (Merlin) Bennett of Pierre, Sandi (Bob) Hall of Ree Heights, Vicki (Rick) Oligmueller of Miller, and Nicolle (Chris) Stallkamp of Selby; grandchildren: Megan and Dylan Bennett, Clayton, Cody, and Colton Hall, Jennifer and Kylie Oligmueller, and David and Chelsea Stallkamp; brothers: Charles Sisk of Pierre, Frank (Janet) Sisk of Westminster, CO, and Carl (Susan) Sisk of Egan, MN; mother-in-law: Hazel Bouren of Miller; sister-in-law: Sharon (Bob) Scott of Rapid City and many nieces and nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Josephine Sisk; husband: Eldon; brothers: Clayton “Tip” Sisk and Bob Sisk.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Barb’s arrangements.




Family Of Barb-
Barb was such a wonderful woman that always had a nice thought for a person and a nice smile and hello to anyone. She fought hard and is for sure being her friendly wonderful self in Heaven. She has some great company up there.

I am sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. She faithfully corresponded until her health rendered her unable to do so, but every Christmas we for sure communicated.
She is at peace now, maybe even making Eldon a gooseberry pie! May God keep you all in His care, His comfort and in His mercy.
