Betty Rasko, 84, of Miller, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Miller Good Samaritan Center.

Graveside services were held at 1:00p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola, Iowa with Pastor Joel Andrus officiating. A memorial reception followed at the Martensdale Community Church in Martensdale, Iowa. Reck Funeral Home of Miller, South Dakota, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Betty was born April 10, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa to Willard and Avis (Stevens) Bonebrake of Urbandale, Iowa. She graduated from Urbandale High School and AIB.

She married John Rasko, also of Urbandale, in Deming, New Mexico, on April 4, 1944, where John was in training as a B-17 bombardier. After the military, the couple lived in Des Moines, Indianola, Creston, and Perry, Iowa. They returned to Indianola where they resided about forty years.

After her husband drown while ice fishing in 1992, Betty moved to Stoughton, Wisconsin, where she lived for twelve years. In 2004, she moved to Miller, South Dakota and resided at the Miller Good Samaritan Center.

Betty was an active member in the Martensdale Community Church in Iowa and Lake View Church in Wisconsin, teaching Bible studies, extending hospitality, and promoting mission ministries. She faithfully loved and served her Lord.

She is survived by her sons: John (Freda) Rasko of Miller, SD and Mark (Sylvia) Rasko of Kennewick, Washington; and daughter: Susan (Jerry) Cellan of Stoughton, Wisconsin; and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
