Beverly Ann Bruce was born June 27th, 1936 to Lester and Josephine (Danter) Pawlovich. She was one of four children. At the age of fourteen she moved with her family to Stephan, SD, where she met the love of her life Albert W. Bruce. Beverly and Albert were united in marriage on April 27th, 1953. To this union were born six children: Liana, Brad, Leslie, Troy, Jill, and Corey.

Beverly was a master of all things. Anything she put her mind to, she accomplished; everything she did, she did with perfection, as she accepted nothing less from herself. She enjoyed countless crafts, gardening, cooking, baking, and knew exactly how to make a house feel like a home.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Immaculate Conception Church in Stephan, SD before moving with her family to Highmore, SD in 1977, where she became an evening cook at the Highmore Healthcare Center, before serving as the Dietary Manager for over two decades.

Over the years, Beverly also took part in being the voice for those who needed hope, encouragement, love, and support as a member of the South Dakota Advocacy and the South Dakota RSOL.

Beverly took a lot of pride in her life’s work, but most of all, she took a lot of pride in her family.

Grateful to have shared in her life is her husband, Albert of 63 years; sister: Connie LaRoche; daughters: Liana, Leslie, and Jill; sons: Troy and Corey (Candy); grandchildren: Jesse Bruce, Heidi (Trevor Forgey), Brittany Bruce, Talya (Bruce Boone), Gabriel Champange, Delmelza Champagne, Danielle Washegesic, Nicholas Washegesic, Ashley Washegesic, and Cameron Washegesic.; great grandchildren: M’aliegh Champagne, Torrance Champagne, Natalie Boone, Allison Boone, Trevor Boone, Aarik Bruce, Sarai Washegesic, Ryanna Washegesic, Landon Card, and Nolan Washegesic; and her dogs: Missy and Taz.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Lester and Josephine Pawlovich; brother, Richard Pawlovich; sister, Darlene Roach; her son, Brad Bruce; and granddaughter, Rachel Bruce.
