Robert ?Bob? DeGeest Jr. was born in Huron, SD on April 19, 1957 to Robert Sr. and Carol DeGeest. He then attended the University of South Dakota at Vermillion. He played football and lettered for 4 years with Coach Beanie Cooper and staff. He managed a sporting goods store in Denver, Colorado and coached football in Arvada, Colorado. He then worked for Johnson Concrete in Rapid City and helped with football in Sturgis. In St. Peter, Minnesota he worked for Lambert Building before returning to Miller. Bob sincerely loved working with the youth of the area. Their wins were great and their losses hard, but he hoped they had learned what to do better next time. A friend said he was a gentle giant.

Bob?s body was donated to the University of South Dakota Medical School. A family service will be held at a later date. Rembold Funeral Home of St. Lawrence has been entrusted with Bob?s arrangements.
