December 19, 1960 ~ November 26, 2017

Bryan R. Hause, 56, of Gettysburg, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at “the store” in Gettysburg.

A celebration of Bryan’s life was held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Napa/Midway Parts in Gettysburg. Per Bryan’s request, stop anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to visit with family and friends, and enjoy music and a meal.

Bryan Robert Hause was born on December 19, 1960, to Robert “Bob” and Mardell (Leisinger) Hause in Gettysburg. He attended school in Gettysburg, graduating in 1979. Bryan met Geri through NAPA, and they were married in 1993.

Bryan and Geri purchased Midway Parts from his parents in 1993 to secure a lifelong career as the local parts guy in Gettysburg. Bryan always had a passion for sports, particularly baseball and softball. He spent many years coaching women’s and coed softball teams, and always enjoyed watching a game at the Gettysburg park in his pickup with a bag of seeds. He also headed up a local football pool for many hopeful fans. He loved the annual family trip out to the Black Hills with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Bryan was elected to the Gettysburg City Council and served from 2013 until his passing. He also enjoyed beating the pants off any brave soul that would challenge him in a good 'ole game of cribbage.

Bryan will be missed by many, including his wife, Geri Hause of Gettysburg; children: Nick (Stephanie) Marty of Gillette, WY, and Andrea (Clinton) Powell of Armour, SD; grandchildren: Peyton, Gavin, and Aiden Marty (Nick), and Garrison, Caden, Sutton Rae, and Keston Powell (Andrea); mother, Mardell Hause of Gettysburg; brothers: Darrell (Martena) Hause of Sheboygan, WI, Dennis Hause of Bismarck, ND, and Larry Hause of Edina, MN; sisters: Pam (Jim) Rieger of Estelline, SD and Janet (Joe) Beacom of Crystal, MN; mother-in-law, Veronica Behmen of Hopkins, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hause; father-in-law, Warren Behmen; niece, Amanda Rieger (Pam); and nephew, Yuri Hause (Dennis).

Geri, Nick, and Andrea would like to express their gratitude to all that made Bryan’s life so full, and those that put up with the “bark” that came with knowing him. Please join the family in a life celebration of burgers, brats, and fellowship on Saturday, December 2nd, from 11am - 1pm at Midway Parts in Gettysburg.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Bryan’s arrangements.
