  1. My mom and Carol were great friends. They would call each other every day and talk for hours. One time of the day that they would call each other was during Wheel of Fortune. They would watch as if they were together. I know that Mom and Carol were great friends and I am sure that She , Joan (Hoftiezer) and Mom are catching up. Carol was a sweet lady and I will never forget her.

  2. Connie (Gerdes) Schroeder says:

When my mom, Maureen Gerdes, told me that Carol had died I didn’t believe her! Years ago, Mom and Carol worked at the court house during the same time period, but in different offices. They were rabid Democrats and worked tirelessly for the party! Since there are only about a dozen Democrats in all of Hand County, you know they came to know each other well! I was privy to some of the coffee times at each house and enjoyed the fun discussions very much. Mom is in the retirement home too, and will miss her friend and the good times they had.
