  1. The following song was on the radio right after I hung from saying goodbye to Cindy. It was a real comfort for me.

    I’ll Fly Away

I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away
When I die, hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away

Some bright morning when this life is over, I’ll fly away
To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away

When the shadows of this life have grown, I’ll fly away
Like a bird from these prison walls, I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away
When I die, hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away

Oh how glad and happy when we meet, I’ll fly away
No more cold iron shackles on my feet, I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away
When I die, hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away

Just a few more weary days and then, I’ll fly away
To a land where joy will never end, I’ll fly away

I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away
When I die, hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away

  3. I had the great pleasure to work with Cindy at Avera Mckennan, 1 West. I only knew her for a short time, but learned quickly what a fun, caring and compassionate person she was. She was always more than willing to jump in and help if someone needed it. I remember how excited she was to go on her trip to Mexico. She always had a smile on her face. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am blessed to have met Cindy.

  4. Our thoughts and prayers are with Darlene, Monte’s families and Randy’s family. What a kind, strong, wonderful person Cindy has been thru our lives, we will miss her sweet, gentle voice and manner and will be with the family this evening and tomorrow – until then, may wonderful memories help sustain you all.

  6. Darlene and family of Cindy. You all probably don’t remember me but when Cindy went to school in Wessington we became very good friends. I have many many great memories of things we had done together. I seen her again a few years ago at the first all school reunion and we got all caught up with one anothers happenings. I was shocked to learn of her death and she will be truely missed by many. She was a woman with a great attitude and a heart of gold. There is a special angel watching over you all now in heaven. Gail

  7. I am so very sorry for the loss of Cindy. Although it has been many years since I saw Cindy (we, along with 2 others were roommates in college – 1975-1977), I have never forgotten her. I never will. She was a very special person. She was a good frisbee player too. My condolences to all of Cindy’s family. Peace be with you.

  8. I am sorry for your loss and our loss. I am grateful for the time we had with Cindy. Did Cindy ever attend Presentation College in Aberdeen? Somehow, I think Cindy and I have crossed paths before this past year. Please be assured of my prayers for you.
    Sister Mary

  9. Darlene and Family:

It’s been so long since I’ve seen you but I wanted you to know you are in my thoughts. It seems loosing someone from your hometown brings back many memories and we realize in our heart we are all family. I hope you will find comfort in knowing Cindy is again healthy, happy and at peace.

  10. Cindy was one of the first people I met when I went to work at Salt Lake Regional and was always a special friend to all of us. Her deciscion to move away was hard on us all but losing her is the very worst. I know that she will continue ot look in on all of us and we will miss her very much. With tons of love, her SLRMC family sends her off to rest in peace.
