Collin "C-Jay" Addison, Sr.

Collin “C-Jay” James Addison Sr., 35, of Eagle Butte, entered the Spirit World on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., MDT, Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte with Mother Margaret Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Wakinyan Maza Tiospaye Cemetery, Iron Lightning. Wake services were held at 7:00 p.m., MDT, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the church with a procession from the 4 mile corner at 4:00 p.m.
C-Jay Addison was born on June 27, 1980 in Eagle Butte, SD to Linda (Curley) and Francis Addison Sr. He spent his younger years in Iron Lightning and graduated from CEB High School in 1998. While in school, C-Jay excelled in track, cross country, basketball, and football; he also attended Upward Bound. After high school C-Jay also spent some time attending Presentation College in Eagle Butte.
C-Jay was first blessed with his daughter, Shyne Kiara; then later he was blessed with his two handsome sons, Collin James Jr. and Joseph Jacob. He loved and cherished all of them. He also loved his nieces and nephews very much who will miss him dearly.
C-Jay is survived by his mother and step father, Linda Addison and Steven Brown Wolf of Eagle Butte; his brothers: Francis Addison, Jr., Ervin Addison, and Cecil Addison, all of Eagle Butte; his sisters: Jana Brown Wolf of Eagle Butte, Chantell Addison of Casper, WY, and Jessica Addison of Thermopolis, WY; his adopted sisters: Carmen Annis and Leslie Horn; his paternal grandpa, Rueben Jenkins of Thermopolis, WY; his paternal aunts and uncles: Al and Sharon Addison, Ken and Polly Red Field, Chester and Cindy Addison, Ava and John Headley, Mary and Merlin Arthur, and Raymond Addison Jr.; his maternal aunts and uncles: Cecile Curley Jr., Kenneth Curley, Irving Curley, Keith (Delores) Curley, Danny (Valerie) Curley, Myron (Mary’Ellen) Curley, Amelia Curley, Melissa Jewett, Joan Curley-Miner and Rose (Deon) Red Dog; and his special friend, Ida (Colby) Fire Cloud.
He is preceded in death by his father, Francis Addison Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Amy (Iron Lightning) Curley; his paternal grandparents, Rosaline and Raymond Addison, Sr.; his aunt, Grace Agneaux; his uncles: Arlen Curley, Andy (Big-A) Curley, and Howard Addison, Sr.; his cousins: SherRon and Grant Langley, Misun Curley, Courtney (Koko) Curley, Terry (Cub) Curley, Howard Addison, Jr., and Keith Dow; and his little brother, Joseph Jacob Brown Wolf.
