Colton LaCombe

Colton LaCombe, 4 ever 37, a Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe member, entered the spirit world at 10:59 on September 27, 2026, at Avera McKennen Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD listening to IDN-car. At this time, he became an organ donor saving 5 lives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. MDT, Thursday, October 8, 2026, at CRST Bingo Hall, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in the Green Grass Cemetery. A wake will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the hall with a procession from the 4-Mile at 4:00 p.m.

Colton Alan LaCombe was born May 21, 1989, to Jackie Holy Bear. When he was just two days old, Jackie entrusted Kim with raising and adopting him.
Colton lived in many places throughout his life, but Sioux Falls was his favorite.

Colton loved life, his family, and his friends. He enjoyed having a good time and loved laughing. He loved to travel and meet new people along the way. He was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed cheering them on. He also enjoyed bow hunting.

Colton was a proud father to Anthony and Kassandra. He was a son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, and friend to all who knew him. He was loved beyond measure and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Colton is survived by his mom, Kim; stepdad, Ron Mager; son, Anthony Kent of Merced, California; daughter, Kassandra Longbrake of Rapid City; sisters, Kim Red Fox of Eagle Butte, Anna Rousseau of Sioux Falls, Teiah (Michael) Hall of Butte, Montana, and Shelby Dewald of Sioux Falls; brother, Jase Dewald of Sioux Falls; adoptive father, Earl LaCombe of Butte, Montana; and numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends he met throughout his travels.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Jackie Holy Bear; grandparents, Theresa LaBlanc and John Hoffman Jr.; and uncles, Henry, Albert, and Tony Holy Bear, and Robert and Toby Hoffman.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Colton’s arrangements.
