Cora Different Horse, 51, LaPlant, died Sunday, April 13, at her home in LaPlant.
Funeral services were held at 1:00p.m. CDT, Friday, April 18 at the Church of God, LaPlant. Burial was in the UCC Cemetery, LaPlant under the direction of Luce Funeral Chapel, Eagle Butte. A wake service was held at 7:00p.m., Thursday, April 17 at the church.
Cora Jean Different Horse was born August 10, 1956 to Matthew and Jessie (Buck) Different Horse at LaPlant, SD.
Cora was a mother, sister, grandparent and friend. She was an avid horseshoe player, defeating many of the men folk in LaPlant. Her other hobbies were reading, listening to country music, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.
Surviving Cora are her two sons: Andrew (Camilla) of Minneapolis, MN and Matthew of Flandreau, SD; four grandchildren: Hiesen, Andrew, Quentin and Kohlin Different Horse of Minneapolis, MN; special friend, William “Lovey” Tin Cup; brother, Emery Different Horse of LaPlant; sister, Victoria DeSersa of Bullhead, SD and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cora was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Alan, Pete, Donald, Richard, William and Jerry; sisters: Jennifer, Augustine, Vera, Annabel, Irma and Eileen.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte was entrusted with her arrangements.
