Darlene K. (Allbee) Nipp was born May 6, 1945, the first daughter of Milton and Arlene (Glanzman) Allbee. After attending Onaka grade school, she attended and graduated from Faulkton High School in 1964. She met and married Richard Nipp on July 18, 1964. Together they had three sons: David, infant James Ray & Jason.
After working several places she started working at the John P. Shirk Home/Faulkton Health Care Center, where she worked for 23 years until health issues forced her to retire.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary as well as a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she was very dedicated to their causes. Darlene served multiple terms, as the local chapter president, as well as the district American Legion Auxiliary president.
All during her health issues she always had an upbeat outlook at life and the future. She was a woman of both compassion and courage and she will be greatly missed.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Richard of Faulkton, SD; and sons: David (Renee) Nipp of Sparrow Bush, NY and Jason Nipp of Yorkville Il.; two grandchildren: Krystal and James Nipp both of Sparrow Bush, NY; her mother, Arlene Allbee of Faulkton, SD; two sisters: Marcelline (Jerry) Schumacker of Oakes, ND and JoAnne Keldsen of Litchfield MN; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, father and her infant son James Ray.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials.
