David Bieber, 54 of Gettysburg, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home.

Gravesides services were held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Gettysburg Cemetery, with Pastor Daniel Tews officiating.

David Bieber was born November 6, 1959 in Gettysburg, SD to Alvin and Lydia (Schilling) Bieber. He attended Gettysburg Elementary and graduated from Gettysburg High School.

Following his graduation, David went to work for Border States Paving and later worked for Anderson-Western Trucking out of Bismarck, ND.

David will be remembered as a man who loved his family and cats.

His life will be cherished by his sister Donna (Robert) Hudson of Canon City, CO; his niece, Stacey (Jim) Wilkerson of Palmer Lake, CO; two nephews: Rob (Linda) Hudson of Colorado Springs, CO and Jason Hudson; and five great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and one sister, Sandra Kubal.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with David’s arrangements.   8. Rarely in life can you ever have a best friend as good as Porky. He was always quick to share a laugh and loved to play jokes on you! But you couldn’t ask for a better friend to be in your court if things weren’t going well. He always put others before himself and truly cared about his friends and family. He will be sorely missed! He was the best friend I ever had…….
