Diane R. LeGrand, 58, of Woonsocket, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Prairie View Healthcare in Woonsocket.
Celebration of Diane’s Life will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at Luze Funeral Home, Highmore. Everyone is invited to a lunch at 12:00 p.m. at D&K Outpost in Highmore. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Harrold.
Diane Ruth was born in Pierre, South Dakota on October 18, 1960 to Richard and Gloria (Lehrkamp) French. She enjoyed six years on the farm at Harrold before the family moved to Huron where she attended St. Martin School and graduated from Huron High School.
On December 17, 1977 she married Rodney LeGrand and to this union, two children were born: Jeremie and Crystal.
She lived in Huron, Alpena, and Sioux Falls for some time before moving to Watertown and the Woonsocket nursing home. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Christensen (Chad Kopfmann) and her children: Lacey and Lucas Christensen, all of Wessington Springs; son, Jeremie LeGrand (Melinda Salas and her children: Adriana, Sidney, and Ian), all of Huron; her mother, Gloria French of Philip; sisters: Fay (Doug) Hauk, Julie (Jeff) Stroup, and Lori (Grant) Seaman; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; her children’s father, Rodney; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to St. John's Cemetery Endowment Fund, c/o St. Mary's Church, PO Box 457, Highmore, SD 57345.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Diane's arrangements.
