Donald Brewer

Donald Brewer, 83, of Faulkton, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Faulkton Senior Living.
A Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Faulkton, with Father Christopher Hughes presiding. Burial followed at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Faulkton. A prayer service was held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the funeral home.
Donald was born in Faulkton to Joseph Andrew Brewer and Theresa Janet (Sundermeyer) Brewer on November 21, 1934. He attended country school and later graduated from Faulkton High School in 1953. Following school, Donald began his life-long career in the farming industry.
Some of Donald’s interests, that he held dear, were trap shooting, cowboy shooting, hunting, reading, watching Westerns, bowling, and making deer jerky.
Donald was also a life-long member of the NRA, St. Thomas Catholic Church, Faulk County Gun Club, and the Single Action Shooting Society. He served on the NRCS Board and as a county commission for 16 years.
Grateful for sharing in Donald’s life are his brothers: Leo Brewer and Timon “Mike” Brewer; and numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Joseph, William Emil, Francis, and Archabold “Archie” Brewer; sisters-in-law: Madalin Brewer, Gladys Brewer, and Ferna Brewer; and nephews: Michael Brewer and James Brewer.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Donald’s arrangements.




So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. We played football together on some of those great Trojan teams of the ‘50’s. Hollis Hall
