Doneta May was born April 13, 1951 in Abilene, Kansas to Alvie and Etta (Reese) Rader. Doneta grew up in Kansas and graduated from Durham High School in 1969.
Doneta met Lawrence while he was employed with Alvie’s custom combine crew that traveled across multiple states. They were married in 1972. To this union, three sons were born: Steve, Mike, and Roger.
Doneta and Lawrence worked side by side on his family farm in Harrold. In November of 1977, they moved to Ree Heights. While Lawrence was working at P Spear Ranch, Doneta cared for the home and raised the three boys. Some of her favorite pastimes included baking and crafting. In the early years, she and Lawrence were involved with playing volleyball.
Her memory will be cherished by her three sons: Steve, Mike, and Roger Kirschenmann, all of Ree Heights; brother, Jerry and Eileen (Stefan) Rader; sister, Diana (Rader) and Tom Hawthorne; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence in 2018; and her brother, Larry.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Doneta's arrangements.

Doneta fought a valiant fight against some pretty bad odds. Now no longer in pain and with the love of her life. You will be missed but never forgotten. Love always, Pete and Kristy
My condolence’s to all of Doneta’s family. I’m keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
We are going to miss her. She has been a part of our family for so long. Praying for you guys.
I remember Doneta from parent/teacher conferences when Mike, Steve, and Roger were in school. It was obvious how proud she was of her boys and how much she loved them. Seeing what fine young men they have grown to be, it is also obvious what a great mom she was. She radiated kindness and warmth. My deepest sympathy to the family.
