Donna Rae Barrows, 67, of Faulkton, died Saturday, January 17th at ManorCare Health Center in Aberdeen. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22nd at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic church in Faulkton with Fr. Joji Itukulapati officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary and prayer service also at the church. Burial will be at the Faulkton Cemetery.
Donna Rae was born Dec. 6th, 1941 at Rockham, S.D., to the late Joseph P. and Carrie Joyce. She attended St. Marys Catholic grade school in Zell and then Redfield High School. Donna lived in Zell until her marriage to Kenneth Kenny Barrows on Nov. 28th, 1963. They made their home and farmed east of Faulkton for many years.
Donna enjoyed many things. A few included spending time with her friends and family and she loved flowers. She especially enjoyed each summer when her granddaughter, Cheyenne, would come and visit for a few weeks.
She is survived by her three children, son, Tim Barrows of Vermillion, S.D.; two daughters, Joyce Barrows of Waconia, Mn. and Julie (Greg) Fischbach of Warner, S.D.; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Davis of Waconia, Mn. and twins Ashley and Keeley Fischbach of Warner, S.D.; two brothers, Dr. Armond Terry (Amalia) Joyce of Slidell, La. and Dan (Jolene) Joyce of St. Cloud, Mn.; two brothers-in-law, William (Mary) Barrows of Clarksville, Tn, Gordon (Margie) Barrows of Rochester Mn; one sister-in-law Clara Klettke of Kulm, N.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenny on October 12th, 2008; infant son, Troy; her oldest brother, Patrick Joyce.
Casketbearers will be Richard Joyce, Ron Joyce, Robert Joyce, Brad Joyce, Josh Joyce and Brian Seamen.
