Dorothy M. Freimark, 95, went home to our Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the Miller Good Samaritan Society in Miller. Visitation was Monday, May 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Miller from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Funeral service was Tuesday, May 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Miller at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Jones and Rev. David Andrews officiating. Interment was at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miller. Rembold Funeral Home of St. Lawrence was entrusted with Dorothy?s arrangements.
Our beautiful mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, sister-in-law, and friend was born on April 11, 1913 in Loomis, South Dakota to Gene and Norma Danburg.
Dorothy married Ralph Freimark, the love of her life on August 12, 1946, in Miller, South Dakota. To this union, two daughters were born.
Dorothy lived in Hand County her entire life. She worked at the Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller, and held various positions there from 1961 until 1981, at which time she retired.
After her retirement, she enjoyed looking after her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking for the holidays, playing cards, attending sporting events in which her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated in, and spending time with all her family and friends.
Those she leaves behind to live on with her beautiful memories are her two daughters, Carolyn (Steve) Danburg, Miller, SD, Sharon (Roger) Kindle, Tenino, WA, eight grandchildren, Staci (Scott) Saugstad, Marshall, MN, Tamie
(Barry) Grogan, Miller, SD, Sherry (Bill) Speirs, Hewlett, WY, Tania (Dana) Ruhnke, Miller, SD, Shawn (Kelly) Fernholz, Miller, SD, Tyann (Rob) Baloun, Redfield, SD, Robin (Pat) Colvin, Tenino, WA, and Roger Kindle, Jr. Tenino, WA, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons, her siblings Leroy (Deloris) Danburg, Wessington, SD, Lenore Ufen, Miller, SD, and Derla (Dave) Simons, St. Lawrence, SD. Sister-in-laws, Rose Danburg, Miller, SD, and Ruth Roeber, Miller, SD.
She is preceeded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1983, parents, Gene and Norma, one brother, Ray, one sister, Phyllis, mother and father-in-law, Opal and Rolland Freimark, one sister-in-law, and three brother-in-laws.
