Bobbi, Gary and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Aunt Dorothy. She was a loved matriarch for our family and leaves a beautiful legacy for us all. We are happy for her that she’s finally in her heavenly home…where she so badly wanted to be! You’re all in my thoughts and prayers. I regret that I will not be able to attend Dorothy’s funeral, but you’ll be in our prayers in the difficult days to come. Blessed be Dorothy’s memory.
God bless,
Love,
Lori
Dorothy was a wonderful warm loving person…who had a great memory. My sympathy to her family and friends…she will be missed.
I want to express my sympathy to Dorothys family. I helped care for her at the Faulkton Healthcare Center. I enjoyed her poetry, and ssense of humor. When I think of her I think “Oh my my my” as this phrase was one she used often. Also her Hot water which we had to make sure was always very Hot. It was a priviledge to knkow her and to get to know her son and daughter. I know she so looked forward to having you come. My prayers are with you.
I want to send my condolences the the entire family. I am Aunt Genieve and Uncle Olan’s great Niece and remember coming to Gettysbury and always coming over to Aunt Dottie’s house.. She was a great lady and will be truly missed by great family members…

Adios, Aunt Dorothy, til we meet again. You are a fine lady. I remember you only with a smile on your face and a happy, positive outlook as well as a good pal of my mother’s. I also remember when you and Uncle Ed showed up at our home before you were married…probably in 1934… and I teased “Uncle Ed’s got a girl friend”…and indeed he did; a good one at that!
My sincere sympathy to all of you at this difficult time. Dorothy was a lovely lady with her poems. We all were able to enjoy some of her favorites. May God reward her for sharing her talents and her goodness to others. Sincerely, Alice Simon

To all of Dorothy’s loved ones: So many memories of Dorothy in her years of living at the Oahe Villa. She was such a faithful participant in the weekly “Inspiration Time”, always ready with a verse for any occassion. She would impishly say, “You read poetry, I recite Poetry”! She was so right and with her fabulous memory she did a wonderful job. I miss her. She and you are in my prayers. Pat
My sympathy to you all. Dorothy was a special little lady to me and I will miss her dearly. May the arms of Jesus surround you and comfort you during these days, weeks and months to come. No matter the age it is never easy to loose a parent. Enjoy her memory.

Although you do not know me I feel I know your mother by Mary’s love and admiration of her. She frequently talked of her and her love for GOD. Though she has left earth she is at home where she is loving the LORD and resting in his love for her. Please accept my prayers for you and I am asking the LORD for his comfort for each of you.
Sincerely
Cathy Singleton
Dearest Mary and Lee, It is my sincere hope that the Lord is comforting you all. Someday you’ll get to attend the most AMAZING family reunion of all – your heavenly reunion! Thinking of you both with sympathy and Christian love, Vicki Ness
Ed was roomed with my Dad, Warren in the manor years ago. Dorothy was so kind to our family. I still have some of her poems.
Sending deepest sympathy to all of Dorothy’s family. Peace to her.

Memories of Dorothy and Ed are so
nice and I am glad to have had made their acquaintance in my life. I stayed there so many times during high school and always enjoyed those evenings when Mary and I would make supper for them. Later when Ralph and I married I found he had spent time with them in the store during his breaks when he worked at Bonhoffs.
They worked so hard at the store and then in their garden. They were a blessing to many.
You have our deepest sympathy. We never had the opportunity to meet you but we have cherished the friendship of Mary. Our prayers are with you.
