Sunshine
When I look at the sunshine, I think of you and how you made me feel in your presence. The feelings that I feel now, now that you’re gone are of sadness, grief, loneliness and anger because you are no longer here by my side, but I rejoice knowing that you are free now. You are free because you are no longer suffering, but you are in Heaven in the presence of Jesus, pain free and dancing with Jesus.
I could only imagine the look on your face when you saw Jesus face to face and the look on Jesus face when he welcomed you home with open arms and said to you, welcome home, I’m so happy to see you. Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord!
As you walked through the pearly gates of Heaven, you saw those who went before you. As you talk and walk with them, they are showing you the vibrant, beautiful sights and sounds of Heaven and your mansion that was built for you by Jesus own hands.
As the days pass by in a blur and the pain I now feel seems so overwhelming, I know that as I lean on and trust in Jesus, that pain and confusion will fade as Jesus brings healing to my heart. I know that some day I will see you again face to face and when I do, that joyful reunion will never end. When we are reunited, we will both see Jesus face to face, and sit on our Heavenly Father’s lap together side by side.
