Elden “Fudder” Carl Moser was born January 19, 1932 at the family farm near Rosehill to H.J. and Pauline (Fastnacht) Moser. He grew up on the farm and graduated from the 8th grade at Rosehill. After walking sixteen miles to meet his military draft, he served in the 11th Airborne (Army) Combat in the Korean War on the front line infantry; serving from 1952 to 1954. He returned home and married the love of his life, Norma Jean Anderson on July 7, 1954. During this marriage, six children were born. Fudder worked very hard as a farm hand, spent several years as a butcher and then working construction for Westcott’s for 37 years.
Fudder’s greatest passions were hunting, fishing, making sausage, jerky, spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed dancing and music. He loved planting and tending to his garden and loved watching and protecting his chicken, ducks, and geese. He took great pride in teaching his grandkids and family the joys of hunting and fishing. He loved family gatherings, as family time was very important and time spent visiting with his many friends.
His memory will be cherished by his precious wife, Norma; children: Linda (Leon) Snay, Larry (Shirldene) Moser, Cynthia (John) Bowar, Eugene (Sherry) Moser, Lawrence (Shannon) Moser, and Barbara (Marlon) Weyand; 20 grandchildren: Lisa (Robby) Richardson, Chris (Stephanie) Martchinske, Kenny (Jaime) Martchinske, Jenny (Cody) Sivertsen, Nalana Bowar, Paula (Waylon) Pearson, Penny Snay, Christina Artman, Dustin (Tiffiany) Moser, Matthew (Tiffany) Moser, Celeste Moser, Carl Moser, Jessica (Cody) Moser, Douglas (Brittany) Moser, Desiree Moser, Kimberly Moser, Jacob Moser, Courtney Moser, Clint Weyand, and Paige Weyand; 24 great grandchildren: Kaitlynn and Kassidy Dyer, Kaden Pearson, Chase and Chandler Arland, Jonathan and Joslynn Tassler, Mya and Jayden Lamar, Malcolm Reid, Kennidy Lindner, Landon, Bentley, and Ava Martchinske, Sarah Martchinske, Toby Sivertsen, Memphis, Skylar and Terence Frueh, and Wyatt and Thomas Moser and four step brothers and sisters, Braxden and Ma’Kenna Moser and our brand new Connor Moser, along with eight adoptive great grandchildren; two sisters: Elaine (Darrell) Peterman and Sherry (Larry) VanZee; one brother, Richard (Ardessa) Moser; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Virginia Kelsey; and many many family members.

Fudder was a good friend to my Dad, Earl Millar. They had many good time processing and cooking meat. But mostly visiting about everything. My husband, Loren worked with Fudder during his time at Wescott Construction and my cooking never compared with Fudders.
I can see him and Dad visiting up a storm making up for the last 26 years. May God hold you during this time and may he ease your sadness.
