Baby Eli James Cook met his proud Mom and Dad and big brother Aiden King, 3 weeks early. Eli was born at 2:07am, on December 30, 2014 in Pierre, SD. The same day, Eli James took his first plane ride to see Dr. Ben and the nurses at NICU in Rapid City Regional Hospital. Eli stayed there for just over a week when he was discharged on the 8th of January, and he came home to Eagle Butte to meet the rest of his family. Baby Eli spent his time with us and also at his Uncle Rufus’s house. Everybody fell in love with Eli James Cook. He was so beautiful. You can see his big brother Aiden in him with his own little personality. Eli was such a good baby, he slept a lot but when he was awake he was smiling and he was very well taken care of and so loved.
God called your name so gently, that only you could hear
No one heard the footsteps of the angel drawing near
Softly from the shadows, there came a gentle call
You close your eyes and went to sleep, and quietly left us all.

My Heart aches for you two Justine & Nate. Be Strong
So sorry to hear of your loss. Please let Carol know im sending my love and prayers
Too the Parents and Family of Eli:
It has often been said that the most difficult pain to endure is the death of a child. I’m a Minister and just wanted express my deepest sympathy for your painful loss. The bible teaches it was never Gods purpose for humans to die. That why at Isaiah chapter 25 verse 8 speaks of a time in the future when it will be eliminated forever. That promise will be realized when The Kingdom Jesus told us to pray for will rule over this earth as well as heaven. So let us all pray for God Kingdom to come! I’ve already offered a prayer for Eli as well as your family.
Respectfully D.W.
I don’t know your family but I saw this picture of your precious baby boy and he just stole my heart. I can’t imagine the grief you are experiencing and can tell by the words that were written about Eli that he was loved so very much. Thankfully Eli spent his short little life surrounded by love as he made his journey to Heaven much too soon. Blessings to all of you…
