Glenn H. McLaird, 90, of Miller, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell, SD, under hospice care.

Burial will be at Memorial Hill Cemetery in Lake Benton, Minnesota.

Glenn was born July 8, 1936, to Ruby (Rochel) and Ernest McLaird in Lake Benton, Minnesota.  Glenn attended Lake Benton School through the 7th grade.  The family moved to Summit, South Dakota where Glenn attended 8th and 9th grades.  Two years later, the family moved to Sanborn, Minnesota and Glenn attended 10th, 11th, and 12th grades and graduated in 1954.  In 1955, the family moved to Miller, South Dakota.

Glenn worked at Tri State Insulation and then worked in the grocery store business for many years.  He was also employed at the Lil’ Feller.  Glenn was a member of the S.D. National Guard for 9 years and a member of the Odd Fellows in Miller.

He is survived by his brother, Bob (Lee) McLaird of Bowling Green, Ohio; sister, Marilyn Grambihler of Plankinton; sister-in-law, Donna McLaird of Duluth, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lizzie and Harry Rochel, Harriet and Willard McLaird; parents, Ruby and Ernest McLaird; brothers, Daryl McLaird and James McLaird; brother-in-law, Robert Grambihler; and nephew, David Grambihler.

Reck Funeral Home of Miler has been entrusted with Glenn’s arrangements.
