Harriette Mowry, 88, of Faulkton, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Faulkton Healthcare Center.

Funeral services were held at 2:30p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Luce Funeral Home, Faulkton with Father Itukuleapata officiating. Burial was in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Faulkton. Visitation was held from 1:00-6:00p.m., Tuesday, December 4 with a 6:00p.m. prayer service at the Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton.

Harriette Eileen Odelia Bauhs, oldest daughter of John Michael and Myrtle Helen (Kuhl) Bauhs was born January 25, 1919 in Faulkton. She attended school in Faulkton, graduating in 1937.

From 1938 to 1944, she worked as a clerk-typist at the U.S.D.A./F.S.A. office. She married Martin Kenneth “Mac” Mowry on November 25, 1942 in Faulkton. In 1951, she began working as a distribution and window clerk at the Faulkton Post Office. In 1975, she then served as Officer-In-Charge until she retired in 1976.

On December 6, 2004, she became a resident at the Faulkton Healthcare Center.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter: Sandra (Gerald “Mugsy”) Schaefers of Orient; three grandsons: Robert Friedrichsen, James Friedrichsen, and Terry (Dawn) Friedrichsen; one granddaughter: Barbara (Ryan) Boomsma; two great grandsons: Ernest Friedrichsen and Carter Friedrichsen; and two great granddaughters: Cassie Clement and Alexi Clement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband "Mac" on October 10, 1994; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Helen Loretta and James Leland “Bud” Turner and Margaret Mary and Charles Jackson “Jack” Turner.

    My thoughts and prayers are with Sandy and her family at this time. I cherish the memories of 4th of July in Faulkton at Mac and Harriette’s cabin on the lake, the fireworks and always, always, always, being made to feel welcome in their home (even if Imp didn’t like me!)
