Hazel Clement

Hazel Helen Clement, 93, of Highmore, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller.
Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2020 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Highmore with Rev. Sara Kayser officiating. Burial will be at the Highmore Cemetery at a later date. Visitation was held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Reck Funeral Home, Miller.
Hazel Helen was born July 10, 1926 in Howell Township in Hand County, the fourth of ten children born to George and Bessie (Synder) Hargens. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school and later Miller High School, graduating in 1944. She was the secretary to the Miller School superintendent for a time before her marriage.
On November 14, 1952, she was united in marriage to Charles Clement in Clayton, New Mexico. They moved to their new home northeast of Highmore. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, tending to her chickens, and feeding her barn cats. She was known for her cooking with many neighbors dropping by at noon time.
Her memory will be cherished by her two sons and one daughter-in-law: Greg and Jan Clement and Everett Clement; two granddaughters: Annie (Jim Weber) Clement and Caty Clement; a step grandson, Bill Cuny; three great grandchildren: Thomas James Cuny, Bailey Cuny, and Hazel B. Clement-Weber; four brothers: Charles (Joyce) Hargens, Richard Hargens, Lester (Carolyn) Hargens, Raymond (Linda) Hargens; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; infant daughter, Cynthia; infant son, Gary; three brothers: George, Edward “Deacon”, and Marvin Hargens; two sisters, Mabel Holt and Eileen Stender; and a step granddaughter, Tomi Rae Cuny.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Hazel’s arrangements.




Sorry to to hear about Hazel passing, I always enjoyed visiting with her. Our thing was meeting in the grocery store on Thursday.Prays for the whole family 🙏

Hazel was a special woman. She will be missed by all of us ar GSS Miller. Prayers for your family.
Prayers go out to Everett and Greg and family. I remember talking with her on the phone and from my visits out to the ranch. My she Rest In Peace.
Sorry i will not be able to get from Wyoming for the services but my thoughts and prayers are with your family. I remember visiting as kids and staying late. Will always remember Skeeter for her pecan pie recipe and I think of her every time!
