Hoksila White Eyes

Hoksila White Eyes, 24, of Little Eagle, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. MDT, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Blue Gym, Little Eagle, SD. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery, Little Eagle. The wake will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Blue Gym, with a procession at 4:00 p.m. from the top of the hill.

Hoksila Orisen White Eyes was born on November 26, 2000, in Bismarck, ND, to Jennifer Weasel and Waylon White Eyes. He attended Little Eagle Day School through the 8th grade and later McLaughlin High School. While in high school, Hoksila enjoyed playing football, basketball, and participating in cross-country.

Following his education, Hoksila was blessed with his two beautiful children, Hendrix and Haisley. He found great joy in being a father as well as an uncle. During his time in this world, Hoksila worked at Prairie Nights Casino, where he met many friends. In his free time, he loved playing horseshoes.

Hoksila’s life will be forever cherished by his children, Hendrix and Haisley; mother, Jennifer Weasel; father, Waylon White Eyes; sisters, Maria, Santana, Molina, Dori, Dora, Miley, and Aaliyah; brothers, In’yan and Kidd; step-siblings: Tatum, Kathryn, and Hayden Joseph; stepmother, Tiffany Ratliff; maternal grandmothers, Gayle Henry, Elverda Little Dog, Brandi Kills Crow, and Lenora Iron Cloud; paternal grandmother, Alita Pfeifle and Arlene Black Bird; maternal grandfathers, Myron Uses Arrow and Kim Weasel; paternal grandfather, Ron Black Bird Sr.; aunts, Alana Traversie, Lillian (Milt) Jefferson, Gwendolyn White Eyes, Shannan (Shane) Black Bird-Pease, Mariah Black Bird, and Sonia Black Bird; uncles, Daniel Black Bird, Ron Black Bird Jr., Ezra Black Bird, Bradley Black Bird, and Jake Swimmer; as well as many other cousins and friends.

He will be welcomed in the Spirit World by his maternal grandparents, Dale and Mary Rose Weasel; paternal great-grandparents, Silas and Bella (Meeter) White Eyes, Ida (Two Hawks) White Eyes, Tim Swimmer II, Ansonia Black Bird, Colette White Eyes, and Mary Ann (Stover) Black Bird; paternal grandfather, Orville White Eyes Sr. and Christian “Rocky” Black Bird II; uncles, Clyde Weasel, Orville White Eyes Jr., and Christian Blackbird III; and aunts, Ellen and Cheyenne Weasel, Daryl Hawk Eagle and Dyan Hawk Eagle.
