Joyce Carr, 76, of Faulkton, died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Faulk County Memorial Hospital in Faulkton.
Funeral service was 10:30a.m.Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the United Church of Faulkton with Pastor Mike Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Faulkton Cemetery, directed by Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton. Visitation was 1:00-8:00p.m. Wednesday, October 18 with family present from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Joyce Anna was born July 3, 1930 to Elmer and Delpha (Salisbury) Bass in Faulk County. She graduated from Faulkton High School in 1948. Joyce worked at Western Telephone Company until 1955. She married Richard Carr February 24, 1955 in Faulkton. She then went to work at the school lunch program in Faulkton and worked there for twenty years.
She was active in the Methodist Church circles and enjoyed playing cards, watch sports, traveling, and spending time with her relatives.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband: Richard of Faulkton; two sons: Kirk (Bab) of Huron and Rory of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren: Andrew (Kristen) of Fargo, ND and Jeremy of Brookings; three sisters: Clarissa Rush of Aberdeen; Jesse Overaker of Buellton, CA; and Evelyn (Bob) Cooper of Faulkton; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Harry and Russell; and one sister Betty Carmen.
