Kai “KC” Christopher Blue Coat, stillborn son of Victoria Blue Coat and Kyle Bruner, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte with Mother Margaret Watson presiding. Burial followed at St. Thomas Cemetery, On The Tree. Visitation began at 8:00 a.m., Saturday morning at the church.

Kai “KC” Christopher Blue Coat, stillborn infant, was born Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital to Victoria Blue Coat and Kyle Bruner of Eagle Butte.

Though we were not given the chance to know baby KC, we had the biggest dreams for him.  He will be missed by all who loved him very much.

KC is survived by his parents: Victoria Blue Coat and Kyle Bruner; maternal grandparents: Phillip “Jr.” Blue Coat, Ira and Jennifer Blue Coat, Carrie and Carla Blue Coat, Iva and Pierre Traversie, Reba and Tom Three Legs, Richard Red Elk, Lanny LaPlante, Orville LaPlante, and Faye Rousseau, Greg Towry, Clark Towry, Joanne and Ira Briggs, Sonny Towry;  paternal grandparents: Karen Bruner, Jewel Bruner, Stuart Bruner, Diane Charles, Cheryl Bruner; great grandparents: Carol Ann Thompson, Margie Clown, Rose Bad Hand, Joe Milo Blue Coat, Norman Blue Coat, Carrie and Fred Fast Horse, Mona Benoist; aunts: Ashley (Ethan) Blue Coat, Jessica Bruner; uncles: Elliot and Jovanna Blue Coat, Wyatt Blue Coat, Ryan (Michelle) Blue Coat, Michael (Rhiannon) Wright, Cameron Wright, Nathan Pottier, Arden Marshall, Jr., Duane Marshall.

Kai “KC” Christopher Blue Coat was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Barbara Blue Coat, Amanda Sand, Harriet Blue Coat; great great grandparents: Jim and Lucille Towry, Robert “Archie” and Irene Blue Coat; aunt, Christina Blue Coat; uncle, Joshua Guerrero; and Natasha Dye.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Kai’s arrangements.
