Karol Kae Bortness, 64, of Highmore, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 29, 2010 at her home.

Private family services will take place at a later date with burial to follow at the Highmore Cemetery.

Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Karol’s arrangements.

As you remember, I was a 1st cousin of your dad but Karol felt like a 1st cousin to me, being she was only 3 years younger. I’ll always remember her as a bubbly, happy gal with a quick smile for everyone. She will be missed.

  11. I am very sorry about your loss. I just now received the message. Karol was a good Soroptimist and missed the meetings the last few years but supported us in other ways. I hope she went peaceably. She did sound alright when I talked to her about the Lawn service for her house here in town.

  12. So sudden. We did not know. Karol was a loving, kind, charitable woman, We will miss her greatly.
