Kenneth Labor

Kenneth Labor, 93, of Miller, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Highmore Health in Highmore.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, Miller with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial followed at GAR Cemetery, Miller. Visitation was held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday December 27, 2015 at Reck Funeral Home, Miller.
Kenneth Neil Labor was born February 23, 1922 at Wallace, Nebraska to August and Etta (Krueger) Labor. He attended school at Rockdale Township in Hand County, Lebanon, Oregon, Piedmont, and Miller High School. On November 23, 1945 Kenneth married Ruth Palmer. To this union, two sons were born, Richard and Robert.
He served on the township board over the years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Miller. He farmed in Hand County.
Survivors include his two sons, Richard Labor and Robert Labor, both of Miller; two grandchildren: Connie Labor (Eric Williams) of St. Lawrence and Brad Labor of Woonsocket; one great grandson, Joshua Williams of St. Lawrence; and one great granddaughter, Macy Labor of Highmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: William, Carl, Paul, and Edward; and one sister, Mina Steensen.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Kenneth’s arrangements.




I am deeply saddened to hear about Kenneths’ passing. He was always so nice and polite to me. I will miss seeing him when I go to the Nursing Home. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
